A Message from Mayor Bill Henfey:
If you like to have fun, you’ve come to the right seashore resort! North Wildwood offers all kinds of entertaining activities, from sporting events to concerts to fireworks displays. Inside this brochure you’ll find hundreds of special events planned just for you.
We love to celebrate holidays, especially with parades. In fact, some call us the Parade Capital of the East Coast! Our St. Patrick’s Day Parade is the first of many. Later on, the Mummers, the New Jersey State Elks, and even Patriotic Pooches will march through our lovely City.
Plenty of activities take advantage of our award-winning beaches, like outdoor exercise classes – aerobics, yoga, or Zumba, anyone? How about showing off your skills in a surfing contest?
There’s a lot planned especially for kids of all ages, too: Boogie Board Races, Sidewalk Chalk Competition, Captain Kidd Pirate Day, and Treasure Hunts. The Rec Center also offers sports camps for soccer and basketball.
And, festivals! Boy, do we have festivals! The whole family will love it when Olde New Jersey Avenue becomes a sea of food and merchandise vendors, while musicians entertain on our huge outdoor stage. There’s our Italian Festival, the Irish Fall Festival, and of course, the NJ State BBQ Championship and Anglesea Blues Festival.
And there’s so much more!
On behalf of everyone in our City, We hope you check it all out, and then enjoy every bit of it!
We’re glad you’re here!
Mayor, North Wildwood, NJ
