NORTH WILDWOOD–If you own a trailer used for landscaping, selling goods, construction, office space, or watercraft, you need to know that the regulations have changed.
At their meeting on May 6, North Wildwood City Council passed a revised Ordinance concerning when and where you may park your trailer.
Generally, in the summer months (i.e. from the Friday immediately preceding Memorial Day to the Monday following Labor Day), it is unlawful to park any type of trailer on the streets of North Wildwood, unless actively engaged in authorized work on-site, such as landscaping.
Vendors selling goods, food, or merchandise may not park on any street unless in connection with a special event or specifically authorized by ordinance and mercantile license. In that case, the vendor must have the appropriate mercantile license or authorization immediately available.
A trailer used by landscapers or at a construction site should be located on the work site rather than the street if possible. If that’s not possible, it may be parked on the street but only while the landscapers or contractors are actually working.
Watercraft trailers are not permitted to be parked on the street at any time from May 16 to Sept 30. There are additional regulations concerning watercraft trailers.
