North Wildwood – The Christmas season has officially begun in North Wildwood, NJ, after Mayor Patrick Rosenello lit the Christmas tree at the Hereford Inlet Lighthouse on Friday, December 4th, 2015.

Hundreds gathered on the pleasantly warm Friday night to enjoy music by the Margaret Mace Choir, speeches from local elected officials, tour the Lighthouse and take pictures with Santa and Mrs. Claus. The tree shined bright, and everyone present could feel the Christmas spirit in the air.

Attendees sung Rocking around the Christmas tree with the Margaret Mace Choir, enjoyed a warm cup of cocoa with cookies, and partook in a complimentary tour of the Hereford Inlet Lighthouse. Some even reminded Santa of what they want for Christmas! In addition to the musical guests, local parish leaders were also present to welcome in the Christmas season.

“This night is a tradition filled with loads of history, and serves as a true marker that the Christmas season is formally underway”, said Mayor Patrick Rosenello. “I would like to personally thank the volunteers and the Friends of the Hereford Inlet Lighthouse for doing such a beautiful job year after year” said Mayor Rosenello.
