North Wildwood, NJ – Mayor Patrick Rosenello and North Wildwood City Council plan on introducing an ordinance that would extend the time limit for bikes on the boardwalk from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.

North Wildwood’s Mayor and Council plan on introducing their new ordinance at the Council meeting on Tuesday, May 19th, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. City Administration expects support from most residents, vacationers, bike shop owners and boardwalk businesses that advocated for the change. Although the ordinance has been drafted and will be read at the Council meeting on May 19th, it will not become effective until after adoption at the following Council meeting and final publication on June 10th, 2015.

“Cycling is an integral part of our shore community and helps to promote our town as a family destination,” said Mayor Patrick Rosenello. “Changing the time limit for bikes on the boardwalk from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. can only be positive for the boardwalk atmosphere,” said Rosenello. North Wildwood Administration’s objectives are to continue successfully controlling the safety of boardwalk visitors, while also staying consistent with Wildwood’s boardwalk cycling time limit already set at 12:00 p.m.
