Police are searching for an unidentified missing person who was last seen in Hereford Inlet. On June 30, 2015 at 6:50 AM, witnesses reported a man in distress was seen in the water off of Seaview Court. The victim is described as a white male, approximately 40 years old with brown hair.
Upon arrival, Officers Mark Santiago and Kyle Zaleski saw the victim and attempted a water rescue. Additional emergency personnel arrived on scene and are presently searching the area. Agencies involved with the search include the North Wildwood Fire Department, North Wildwood Beach Partol, New Jersey State Police and the United States Coast Guard.
At this time the North Wildwood Police Department with the assistance of the Cape May County Prosecutor’s Office are investigating the incident and attempting to identfiy the missing person. Anyone with information, contact the North Wildwood Police Department at 609-522-2411.
