NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING HOUSING ELEMENT & FAIR SHARE PLAN

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, pursuant to the New Jersey Open Public Meetings Act, N.J.S.A. 10:4-6 et seq., that the City of North Wildwood Planning Board will conduct a public hearing to consider the adoption of the “Fourth Round” Housing Element & Fair Share Plan (H/E & FSP) as an amendment to the City of North Wildwood Master Plan. The H/E & FSP has been developed in accordance with NJ’s Fair Housing Act {NJSA 52:27D-301 et. seq.}, adopted by the State on March, 2024. The H/E & FSP also delineates the actions taken, and to be taken, by the City of North Wildwood to create a “realistic opportunity” to satisfy its “fair share” of the regional need for affordable housing, as set forth in the H/E & FSP.

This notice is being published pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40:55D-28 & 40:55D-13. The public hearing is scheduled to begin at 6:30 pm, on Wednesday, June 18, 2025, in the Pubic Meeting Room of City Hall/Police Station annex, located at 10th & Atlantic Avenue, 901 Atlantic Ave., North Wildwood, NJ 08260. At the conclusion of the public hearing & after public comment, the Planning Board shall consider whether or not to adopt of the H/E & FSP as an amendment to the City’s Master Plan.

A copy of the proposed H/E & FSP will be available for public inspection at least ten (10) days prior to the hearing date referenced above in the Office of the Municipal Clerk, located at City Hall, 901 Atlantic Avenue, North Wildwood, NJ, from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm, Monday thru Friday (normal business hours). The H/E & FSP amendment to the Master Plan will also be available on the City’s website: www. Northwildwood.com. At the time of the Planning Board June 18th public hearing, any interested persons/party may appear & give comment/testimony on the H/E & FSP. The Planning Board may take action on the H/E & FSP at the close of the public hearing on June 18, 2025, or continue the hearing to a date as may be scheduled by the Board.
