North Wildwood Announces a State Tool to Help Prepare for Storm & Sea-Level Rise

New Jersey residents & officials have a new tool, NJ ADAPT, to help them prepare for storms & sea-level rise.

The project, led by Rutgers University, provides access to volumes of data related to climate, flood elevation & sea level, as well as video case studies on how different areas of the state have been affected post-Hurricane Sandy.

“The idea here is to make it easy for the public,” said Jeanne Herb, associate director of the Rutgers Environmental Analysis & Communications Group. “They can come to one site to access all these tools.”

Jennifer Rovito, the project’s GIS manager, said the website also serves as a repository of data to help municipalities & counties prepare resiliency plans & complete applications for grants & other funding.
