Second Season Kick-Off Press Conference, Sept. 6, 2013

It was a beautiful day in Wildwood and a group of event organizers and public relations liaisons gathered in front of the Wildwood sign to announce a jam-packed schedule of activities planned for the fall season.

John Siciliano, Executive Director/CFO of the Greater Wildwoods Tourism Improvement and Development Authority introduced the speakers.

Grace Hanlon, Executive Director NJ Department of Travel and Tourism commended all those who “created a strong shoulder season here,” saying that the Wildwoods are role models for all communities who strive to expand their seasons.

Among the presenters were Joe Quatrone, representing North Wildwood’s Tourism Department, who described the Mummers String Band Saturday events, including the Cozy Morley Tribute to be held Saturday, 9/7.

Diane Maguire, representing the AOH and the Irish Fall Festival Committee, explained all the events planned for this season’s 4-day festival.

If anyone at the press conference had thought the season of entertainment was over, they were surely impressed with the number and variety of offerings in the Wildwoods through October.
