On Saturday, Sept. 7, the top nine winning string bands from Philadelphia’s New Year’s Day Parade 2013 strutted their stuff in North Wildwood.
The first event was a tribute to the late Cozy Morley, a favorite North Wildwood entertainer and a Mummer himself.
Then came the Mummers Strut Contest before the parade marched down Olde New Jersey Avenue.
The sidewalk was 10-deep for the entire event. And many spectators joined in the dancing during every tune.
