NOTICE – PUBLIC HEARING SCHEDULED FOR REQUEST TO AMEND ROSI, BLOCK 317.03, LOT 1, SEAPORT PIER

The City of North Wildwood located at the address below will hold a public hearing to obtain comments regarding its application to the NJDEP Green Acres Program for the proposed amendment to Recreation and Open Space Inventory (ROSI) of the City. The application is subject to NJDEP approval.

The public hearing will be held on July 24, 2019 at 6:00 p.m. at the City Council Chambers at City of North Wildwood Municipal Building, 901 Atlantic Avenue, North Wildwood, New Jersey. All interested parties are invited to attend and participate in the public hearing. Written comments may be submitted to the agencies listed below. All written comments must be received within two weeks following the hearing, that is by August 7, 2019.

In accordance with N.J.A.C. 7:36-25.3, the City is requesting that the NJDEP approve the City’s request to amend its ROSI to remove Green Acres’ restrictions on the property known as the “Seaport Pier,” located at 2201 Boardwalk, City of North Wildwood, County of Cape May, New Jersey 08260, between the ends of 22nd Avenue and 23rd Avenue, designated on the City Tax Map as a portion of Block 317.03, Lot 1. It is the City’s assertion that the Seaport Pier was never held for recreation and conservation purposes. This portion of Block 317.03, Lot 1, where Seaport Pier is situated, is intended to be designated as a single parcel with Block 291.01, Lot 1 upon removal from the ROSI. The portion of Block 317.03, Lot 1 to be removed from the ROSI is approximately a total of 1.1 acre(s).

All information submitted by the City of North Wildwood to the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection in support of the ROSI amendment request is available to the public for inspection at North Wildwood City Hall, Office of the City Clerk, open Monday – Friday, 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
