Kathy Orr picked the best beach day of 2013 to broadcast her “Orr at the Shore” weather report on Philly’s Channel 3 from North Wildwood’s 15th St. beach. On June 20, it was all bright sunshine and warm breezes as Orr described the scene: sunbathers, paddle-boarders, and kids playing in the sand.
She also pointed out the huge pipeline stretching across the beach carrying sand from Hereford Inlet all the way to 25th St., replacing what SuperStorm Sandy stole. She was impressed with the sand walkways built over the pipe allowing beachgoers easy access while the work proceeds.
