NORTH WILDWOOD—The Mid-Atlantic Police and Fire Survivor Weekend (MAPFSW) Organization will hold a fundraiser 5K Race/1 Mile Walk on July 20.

MAPFSW is a special organization created to recognize fallen law enforcement officers and firefighters and their families. The annual Survivors Weekend will take place Sept. 27-29. It’s hosted by the North Wildwood Police Department and is held in North Wildwood.

The Race/Walk begins at 9 a.m. sharp. Registration is at the Elks Lodge, 109 W. First Ave. on the morning of the event from 7:30 to 8:45 a.m. The fee is $15 per person and the first 300 to register receive t-shirts.

Teams of 5 are welcome and the first 3 in the group to cross the finish line count as a score.

If you’d like to watch, come to any point along the route. The race begins and ends at First and Olde New Jersey avenues, proceeds to Second Ave., to JKF Blvd, to Fifth Ave., to the beach access road, to 22nd—and back the same way.

Proceeds benefit the Survivors Fund.
